The Call for Submissions for the Spring Columbus Moving Image Art Review (CMIAR) 2013 is now open. This show is tentatively scheduled to be on Friday June 14th and the deadline for submissions is Friday May 24th. Make sure to visit the submission page to download the form and send your DVD in at anytime up to the deadline.
Send in your new or old work, propose an a/v performance. If it uses light and it moves than its fair game; video, film, animation, documentary, narrative, experimental, student, and professional. We aim to celebrate what Central Ohio has to offer no time constraints, no subject constraints.





Columbus Moving Image Art Review (CMIAR) 14 – March 22nd 8PM

The Columbus Moving Image Art Review (CMIAR) will host its 14th quarterly local moving image screening event on Friday March 22nd from 8pm to 9:30pm at the Ohio State University’s Hagerty Hall Theater room 180. CMIAR is a screening event for artist residing in Columbus, Ohio and surrounding areas. CMIAR was developed by two local moving image artists who wanted to create a way for the seventh art of film to return to the presentation medium of the cinema house. CMIAR 14 will be programmed with moving image work from Ohio State University Students, Staff and Alumni, CCAD Students and Faculty, and local Central Ohio filmmakers. Admission is free. Light food and drinks will be provided. CMIAR is sponsored by the OSU Film Studies Program and Nicolettecinemagraphics.

Best of CMIAR at The Grandview Hop

Come and see the best of the Columbus Moving Image Art review (CMIAR) this weekend from 5-9 at the Grandview Hop. The outdoor screening will take place on Grandview Avenue in the parking lot of the Arlington Bank just south of 5th Avenue. We will be presenting local films, animations and moving image art work by such artist as Stacie Sells, Sean McHenry, Phil Garrett, Kevin VanScoder, Nikki Swift and more.
The Grandview Hop is a celebration of all of the best that Grandview has to offer. Come check out the unique mix of food, drinks, shopping, live music, art, and fun along Grandview Avenue between 1st and 5th Avenues.
