The Columbus Moving Image Art Review (CMIAR) will host its 30th quarterly local moving image screening event on Friday April 7th from 8pm to 9:30pm at Hagerty Hall 180. CMIAR is a screening event for artists residing in Columbus, Ohio and surrounding areas. The event is curated through free and open submissions. CMIAR screenings are free and open to the public thanks to sponsorship from The Ohio State University Film Studies Program and Nicolettecinemagraphics. CMIAR’S 25th show is now open for submissions!

The Call for Submissions for the Fall Columbus Moving Image Art Review (CMIAR) 2015 is now open.

This is the 25th show and we are proud to open the submission call to all long time residents and new filmmakers, animators, and video artists in Central Ohio – as well as all previously participating artists even if you are no longer in Columbus.

This show is to be on Friday January 15th at 8pm on OSU Campus in Hagerty Hall 180.

The deadline for submissions is Friday December 11th 2015.

Make sure to visit the submission page to download the form and send your DVD in at any time up to the deadline. Send in your new or old animations – videos – films, or propose an a/v performance. If it uses light and it moves than its fair game; video, film, animation, documentary, narrative, experimental, student, and professional. We aim to celebrate what Central Ohio has to offer with no time constraints, no subject constraints.
