The Ohio Peace Festival, The Columbus Moving Image Art Review, The Mershon Center for International Security Studies, The OSU Film Studies Program and The Gateway Film Center have come together to create a film festival to inspire people around Ohio to engage with the idea of peace through film. Regardless of age, ethnicity, gender, orientation, or experience as a filmmaker, we want to see films created from all walks of life.
Brief Submission Rules
We ask all filmmakers to consider these three ideas and how they apply to your film:
“It can only be achieved by understanding.”
“Ignorance is a menace to peace”
“The opposite of war is not peace, its creation”
These ideas can be included as a general theme, a line of dialog or text, or even be part of the title of the film. When completing the submission form, make note of how at least one of these ideas influenced your film.
Films should be under 40 minutes in length and must be submitted by May 8th 2016.
